Overall Impressions I think that this airport addons scenery is really nice, The attention to detail shows throughout the whole scenery. Of course, these days we are used to be treated to a number of additional features, extending beyond the immediate buildings of the airport, found in and around the airport outskirts. Not only is their modeling really nice, their texturing is often crisp. Likewise, if you only sometimes fly here or if you have limited funds, then I my advice would be to wait for the new package. The level of detail of 3D modeling is close to what I would have expected four or five years ago. I did not encounter any technical or performance issues worth mentioning in this review.
Much like the texturing used on the jetways, discussed above, they are a fairly low resolution textures with blurry doorways, uniform garage doors, straight clean lines and edges that collectively convey a somewhat sterile and a little dated environment. First and foremost - these jetways do not move at all. I would say that the night is good. Personally, I think a fair price would be a few Euros below that, but I am not a pricing analyst or specialist. Some structures, like the big United hangar, do have better night effects. The outskirts of the Changi airport, in this 2010 package, are fairly basic and are comprised of a low res photo scenery and some major, low detail buildings.
Changi Airport has four passenger terminals with a combined capacity of 80 million passengers per year. The modeling is good overall, and the texturing is also okay. The control tower, positioned on concourse C. The black band should have been thinner, for example, and the diameter of the control room should have been a bit bigger. However, not all is good here. .
On first sight, the photoreal scenery appears blurry and not that good. So, my advice is buy their airport sceneries; you won't be disappointed, especially with their later productions. Another missing ground feature - cracks and imperfections in the concrete. This airport also features fully animated vehicles that drive around the airport, This includes catering, baggage and push trucks all moving around the airport individually. The black is usually a shadow, signifying that there should have been something here, yet we see no building modeled.
In the screenshots above, notice the serial numbers both on the metal luggage crates, and on the dollies these crates are sitting on. Not only do we see air vents on the roofs, we also see different layers of walls, and lamp posts and such. The installation and night lighting weren't perfect, it would have been nice to see the stand flood lights have more effect on the lighting situation. Still, it is by no means forgotten. You may be parked along a main terminal building that looks and feels fairly realistic. The above shots show concourse B in some more detail.
Now let's talk about the texturing. Anyway, how did ImagineSim fare with concourse B? Very well made and quite frame rate friendly. We will now move on to concourse B. For more information about ImagineSim Singapore Changi, visit the product via the developers website. As you can see, the passenger terminal is like a spider in a web of taxiways and runways. Practically speaking, depending on where you are in the airport will determine the level of realism for you. Iceland is a new arrival for which only just now about all airports have been released in one big package, save for Keflavik, available seperately.
Our unique custom models are carefully crafted after in-depth research using literally thousands of photographs and video taken on site visits. The taxiways, runways and signage itself does look rather good however. They seem to be more of an interpretation than a true-to-life replica, albeit very good interpretations. But overall A really great addon. Installation and documentation ImagineSim has a slightly more complicated installation procedure than most developers have. The jetways really are very good however, and the apron itself looks nice. Our design team have a wealth of honed experience in flight simulation modelling, texturing and design.
However, Ian also has copies of Prepar3D and X-Plane installed. The installer will then contact the store and check if such an order exists for that name. To make sure we do justice to the scenery, we have to set our expectations accordingly. On top of concourse C, we find the main control tower. As you see in the screenshots below, the quality of textures of building components, such as doors and windows, looks dated and almost out of place when compared with some of the higher quality textures found on the objects around the gates vehicles, signage, luggage carts, etc. The Austin-Bergstrom Internation airport is situated in Class C airspace and 5nm away from Downtown Austin, it currently has around 150 daily departures and more than 10Million people used the airport last year.
